UTC Date to Epoch

Select a date and time. The current V2 converter interprets this value as UTC.

What Is Unix Epoch Time?

Unix epoch time represents a point in time as the number of seconds since January 1, 1970 at 00:00:00 UTC.

For example, epoch value 0 represents January 1, 1970 at 00:00:00 UTC.

Epoch timestamps are commonly used in software, databases, APIs, logs, and operating systems because they provide a compact numerical representation of time.

This V2 tool works with UTC only. Time-zone conversion can be added in a later version.
